Roberto Carlos Durán Samaniego, nicknamed “Manos de Piedra” (“Hands of Stone”), is a Panamanian former professional boxer and four-division world champion regarded as one of the greatest fighters in history. Competing from 1968 to 2001, he held lightweight, welterweight, light middleweight, and middleweight titles, achieving 103 wins with 70 KOs. Known for his relentless pressure style, he was the undisputed lightweight king and famously defeated Sugar Ray Leonard in the 1980 “Brawl in Montreal.” Inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2007, he remains a national icon.
