Thomas "Hitman" Hearns Signed Everlast Boxing Glove Inscribed "H.O.F 2012" (JSA COA)
Everlast boxing glove. Hand-signed and inscribed in black felt-tip pen by Thomas Hearns (HOF).
Nicknamed "The Hitman," Hearns' tall and slender build allowed him to move up over fifty pounds in his career and become the first boxer in history to win world titles in four weight divisions: welterweight, light middleweight, middleweight, and light heavyweight. By later winning a super middleweight title, he also became the first to win world titles in five weight divisions.
Hearns was named Fighter of the Year by The Ring magazine in 1980 and 1984; the latter following his one-punch knockout of Roberto Duran. Hearns was known as a devastating puncher throughout his career, even at cruiserweight, despite having climbed up five weight classes.
The lot / autograph(s) includes an official James Spence Authentication (JSA) hologram and matching COA for authenticity purposes. The signing of this item was witnessed by JSA.
